The titles we use above are intentionally broad and inclusive of multiple identities. These are not intended to “other” the groups to which they refer but are instead intended to help those seeking TCTSY facilitation who might prefer to work with someone who holds a shared identity or life experience. It is not a perfect system. There can also be important distinctions between the ideas of race and ethnicity (or cultural identity). For those reasons and more, this additional indexing feature will evolve alongside our understanding and inclusion of identity in the context of trauma sensitivity.

If you feel that there are discrepancies present here, please contact us.

All TCTSY Facilitators (TCTSY-F) are officially certified through the Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga 300-hour program based on protocol developed, studied, and empirically validated by the Trauma Center at the Justice Resource Institute of Brookline, Massachusetts. They are the only people to hold this official certification, along with the directors, staff, and supervisors of CFTE / TCTSY, and are required to meet established criteria on an ongoing basis to remain in good standing.
